Hey Everyone,

Here's the next four chapters of Quest Academy. I'm curious to know what you all think about them, as it's a bit of a tonal shift as we get closer to the end of the book.

I thought about the contract that Enigma gave to Sal, and tried to frame it in a way that is believable for the world, and that the approach would align with the power set of the Mythic Guild. It might be anti-climactic, but I promise I'm building towards something. We'll just have to see how it lands.

Anyways, in other news, I got my new monitor for my PC. I'm officially an Ultrawide enthusiast, and the keyboard is back in action. Hopefully no more tech issues for another while.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Brian

Love that they use their skills to do the job right instead of risking themselves

Look this has been bothering me for a while so im just gonna say it an see what yall think. I think that fabi the person who owes sal more then any1 else on the planet is self serving greedy and is using sal. He worked for months on her weave he stopped the hunters guild from giving her a lesser version fixed her weave again AND it was because of him that his mom saved her life. And the the property he earned she was just given half. Not her fault but absolutely took advantage to get it and has every intention of keeping it though she has no use for it other then warehouse space for crafting. No she's gonna milk it for revenue from sals guild. Her dad's benefited from sal as well parting with the Barron to supply his guild with materials which she also gets the advantage of. She gets access to the ark right and dedalous and the alchemy the guild produces. Ya but she helps the guild build everything. Uh no she gets PAID to do so. She has been paid in quest credits for commissions and has a 1% stake in tje alchemy machine where she is making millions off of it. She helped with putting dedalous together and apparently now has unlimited access to it. Same with the ark right she gave some materials early on and ever since has had access to it. Yet she refuses to join tje guild even though he best friends are in it. Why? The only reason I see is so she can continue to profit off him. And this is tje person so many ppl want him to be in a relationship with???? Really???

It's just irritating why would any1 want sal to date greedy ass fabi. When there's home girl divinity who's has ALWAYS had salsa back. She's the reason he has his mythcraft skill in the first place she been his rock an has been there for him since literally day one. She's never asked him for anything an only has ever wanted him to be safe an do his thing which will better the future. Like this selfless girl is the one for him not greedy ass fabi.

Question is Petro going to be told because he specifically asked Sal to stay away from the Darwin Cruises?

How many books will be in the series

Have you decided what your next book will be about

I'm worried that the modular ability blueprint Anthony is working on is a huge jump in power creep. Sal crafting gloves that make builders obsolete is powerful, but Anthony giving every person a custom selection of any ability Sal can produce is world changing. It also threatens to wipe away people's roles/uniqueness if anyone can do anything.

I think that modular ability is hugely net positive, everyone still have rheir original ability. In time there will be set of optimal skills that heroes will be trained with, wich will make hero work more sade an efficient. It still leave room for personal favored skills for everyone, so heroes will not become some some faceless mass. Maybe there will be even more diversity betveen heroes capabilities when everyone can choose what kind of heroes they want to be.

I love the crafting and growing of the guild and technology and everything.. but this is always the best part of the books. We're vamping up to have some real pressure and consequences. I do wish there was a little more of this throughout the book but I still really enjoy the whole thing.

“To my mortal rival: Brian J. Nordon, I hope you choke on Quest Academy. (And caviar)” Dedication at the fore of Ironbound by Andrew Givler. Naturally, I have questions. 🤣

wow... Divinity is the only person here actually having a hint of normal interaction. Sal was FORBIDEN from talking to Erica like 3 chapters ago. Vanessa and Upgrade where very very clear on that and instead he goes and grants here early access to Legion? what's next he puts here into Athena next chapter and implants a new skill or something for here?` lets not ignore Sal acting like he's the big logic guy. you know how bad your character consistency has to be for Barry to act on emotions being protective of Erica because Sal aged from 19 to 90 in 2 books suddenly having no teenage emotions for anyone his age? I swear if after all of this the climax of the story is going to be about Divinity messing up here visions and not seeing the important things this will actually be a scam story
