Although I've been watching more of the full reactions lately, I'm trying to also make an effort to play the YouTube version, along with liking and commenting to help increase the engagement!

Surely invading someone's home, shooting them, kidnapping them, and then torturing them in various ways is the perfect approach to get information from someone you claim to be on the same side of.

As a British person, I find it extremely hard to believe the idea that a British institution could be as hypercompetent as Toni Bevell claims the British Men of Letters (BMoL) are. I find it easier to imagine she's either exaggerating for dramatic effect or they're not as all-encompassing as they think they are. Then there's the fact that the UK's population density is much higher than that of the US, and that crossing it from west to east only takes about 4 hours (north to south about 12 hours) - hypercompetence as an idea is less impressive when they're trying to compare it to the vastness of the US. I can well imagine the BMoL as an offshoot of the Watchers' Council, or vice versa - uppity hyper-privileged types with no empathy. Who would perhaps look on the US as a whole as 'bloody colonials', to quote Giles. The title is used as a bad thing - it's not a good idea to be either keeping calm or carrying on in these circumstances. She should be stopping the torture and increasing the sense of urgency that it's better for America if Sam co-operates.
