Scary Coof Game (Patreon)

Pathologic 2 is a scary coof game about a plague or something that i bought because ha ha covid get it? Same reason i'm sure anyone bought it. Some games are played by everyone because they're free and fun like Fall Guys, other games are played exclusively by streamers and youtubers because memes control everyone's mind and are the only basis for decisions anymore.

From what i understand of this series its appeal is in the morose atmosphere and crushing survival/decision making difficulty. That's all well and good but i don't think i made it to that part. So far it's just a bunch of increasingly esoteric intros. Like if a character in the Twilight Zone fell asleep and woke up in a totally different Outer Limits episode, without ever resolving whatever weird shit was originally happening. 

I have no idea what's going on in this game and nothing makes sense yet, if indeed it ever will, which i am just ever-so slightly doubtful of. The features plenty of surreal and dystopian imagery, along vaguely unsettling bird mask guys, but so far the scariest part is the extreme close ups on everyone's hideous rotten face when you talk to them. The upside to this is that voice acting is minimal, which gives me plenty of space to do silly voices, which i love so very very much. 

Some of these lets play videos i like to edit down to just the humorous quips, out of respect for your time, but others i feel are as much about sharing the game experience itself as they are about me being so effortlessly witty and cool. Depends on the game. Nobody's dying for me to shut up so they can experience the story of.. fuckin... uh... Fall Guys. Hm, that's the second time i've mentioned Fall Guys. Maybe I should play Fall Guys. 

Anyway my point is this one is one of those games that i think benefits from letting the viewer take the journey with me, and see for yourself all the nonsense of this world slowly unfolding in real time, so it's unedited. It's like we're sharing the experience, see? As opposed to me laboring ceaselessly to stitch together an experience for you like some kind of ceaselessly masterful improv comedy Frankenstein. These more psychological, trippy, or surreal games get a bit more breathing room because i'm actually interested in what the hell's going on, whatever that is. 

If i continue the game, maybe later i'll compile a reel of the funny bits. But for now just enjoy gawking at the weird shit with me while i do funny voices and occasionally make hilarious jokes. I am confused as shit so i guess this game is probably pretty good or cool or something.
