I've seen the film and read the book. I have also seen audience reactions to the film and they don't get the underlying antiwar message at all based on the film.

No. And I studied it in school so I assume you consider them to be "reversed" as well? Check the Cliff or Spark Notes at least before you make statements like that.

I'm so excited to see y'alls reaction to Starship Troopers, its one of my all-time favorite Sci-Fi's ❤ Take a look at some Behind-the-Scenes of all the amazing practicals, animatronics, and set pieces they made for this film. Not to mention the crazy number of real background extras they used (there were 1,300 people in the Battle of Klendathu!), along with costumes for all of them. The CGI is a bit dated in certain scenes, but I think this film still holds up very well due to how much real stuff was utilized.
