You made mention of "a whole universe" and it made me giggle. Unless you're a full King fan ... you have *nooooo* idea how deep the rabbit hole goes, from small mentions here of Shawshank... to other books mentioning the "Losers" in 11/22/63... to a slaw of soft mentions in "The Stand"... even a wink of a nod in "Desperation" and with Hallorann the obvious connection to "Shining" "How'd you know we call him doc?" -Shining "I never told you I have a son" - Welcome to Derry Juniper Hill itself the psychiatric institution near King's Derry, Maine. It appears in It, Insomnia, Needful Things, Gerald’s Game, The Tommyknockers, Bag of Bones, 11/22/63, and more. And as @Mister Lou mentions while not the same brand the "cigar box" is widely considered to be the nod to "Green Mile" - it is the same colors though more faded by the time Paul Edgecombe utters the words: « Le cirque de souris… le petit cirque de Mr. Jingles. » The King-Verse is huge.

So far I am very much enjoying all the lore in this. They are really taking their time to present the whole world, which is very cool. Looking forward to the next one.
