NRaO Chapter 33 (Patreon)

Knocking out the seal master(fuinjutsu), medic training, and sensory that left bukijutsu(weapons training). I had three separate techniques I could teach them but each would involve a different student with only one learning all three. “Weapons training is in my opinion a giant waste. You’re already training taijutsu, it's much easier and faster to just punch someone's head off. That still doesn’t mean I don’t think it has its purposes.”
I unrolled a scroll and asked them all. “Once again, we have no good teachers for this in the village as the things taught in school are fairly useless. Step forward and put any weapons you’re using down in front of you.” The four remaining students(Ami was already out of clones) stepped forward and placed multiple shuriken and Fugaku also placed a ninja sword on his own sealing scroll. I looked at his flimsy sword designed for someone without superhuman strength. That sword was more likely to break than be a considerable weapon.
I unseal my scroll. Inside were weapons designed by me for superhumans to use. Three great swords twice the width and length of Fugaku’s were there. Four muskets, a bow, and dozens of grenades. Just teaching them the basics of how to use those weapons was going to take the bulk of the day. Each goes to grab a sword.
“Nope, each is designed for your personality. Fugaku the thinner one is yours. It is just a bigger version of the one you were already using. Nawaki gets the balanced double-edged one and Gin gets what I’m calling the dragonslayer. It’s probably still a bit too heavy for you to wield effectively which is designed like that on purpose. If you can master how to use that sword effectively no one will be able to beat you in a sword fight.”
The sword's body was still about two feet taller than him. Each would look silly wielding their weapons until they fully grew but learning how to wield them not was more effective in the long run than the others. Hiami just looked confused at the lack of a sword for her. I pointed at the bow. “Hiami, the bow goes to you.”
She looks at me pissed until she gets a better look at the bow. It isn’t a normal one anyone could use, it was made out of metal and its max draw weight was five hundred pounds. I looked at her before asking. “Can you draw that back?” She struggles for a few minutes trying to get it back making her hands bleed in the process before I take it from her. I casually notch and arrow and aim at a tree. Firing the arrow goes through like butter.
I unstring the bow and restring with a slightly larger string dropping the draw weight to two-fifty. Even still a normal ninja wouldn’t be able to fire. As she mentally prepares herself I hand her the special arrow I prepared for the bow. She manages to pull it back which is surprising, I could have dropped it down to two hundred and most ninja still couldn’t use it. Firing at the tree her arrow digs most of the way through before she pulls on the ninja wire that was attached to it.
“So we’re going to be doing weapons training from here on out. I’ve given the guys swords because they’d have tried it eventually and the garbage they’d get from a store would only cripple their fighting ability. Sakimo Hatake, one of the best ninjas in the village was using this tiny, tiny chakra sabre until I made him a better one.” I was being honest. The sword he was using, besides being a chakra weapon was very weak and fragile. A strong hit with a regular metal pole would have shattered it, the bigger one I made him was far less likely to shatter on the battlefield. And, as a man… One of our strongest shinobi shouldn’t be running around with a bread knife-sized weapon. It just wasn’t cool!
The moniker white fangs sounds cooler than white fang as well. “Alright now that everyone has their main weapon pick up the musket. It’s the metal pipe-looking thing right there. Do-.” Before I could explain not to touch the trigger Gin squeezed his firing the gun. The sudden loud noise made Hiami squeeze hers next firing a shot only a few inches from hitting Gin. “Stop! Don’t pull the triggers unless you are aiming at something you want to kill!”
The next few hours I went over how to use the muskets and grenades safely. Each was given fifty of the normal rounds some of the experimental rounds and three grenades. They were far more deadly than normal explosive seals as the shrapnel was even effective on our chi-strengthened bodies. Even now I regretted giving them swords because it immediately made them less effective in combat.
Hopefully, they grow out of it, I doubt Gin will ever. The same goes with Fugaku, he already named his new weapon. To be fair I was still trying to make my perfect sword and in the process of stealing that one from the seven swordsman I learned quite a few new tricks to add. One, some swords could grow to bond with a certain type of person. I was trying to manufacture a bond.
Another thing, some weapons could be compressed and by flowing chakra through it would convert to its original size. The final thing was making it nie unbreakable. That was the biggest problem so far. If I wanted a perfect sword, it had to be made by me because I didn’t trust anyone else to make it perfect.
A sword that could be lengthened to at least twenty feet to fight gigantic beasts was necessary in my opinion. Being unbreakable was another necessity. Finally bonding with the weapon, having that would make it what I would consider better than one created by a soul with a strong spirit.
If they did manage to stick it out with their weapons I’d give them superior versions at the end of their training. Right now all of them were heavier, duller, and less special than the end product would be. We finally finished and headed home. I had a surprise for one of my pupils. I decided to take one under my wing as she had shown signs of being more ruthless than her teammates. That was necessary for a team, someone willing to make the hard decisions.
Hiami entered my lab and began to look around curiously as I walked into a side room. She followed behind me but wasn’t greeted by me instead was greeted by the door slamming behind her. A sudden movement from something not human to the side as it clacked and chittered made tingles go up her spine. In one swift movement the thing dove at her and instead of freezing up like she would have in the past she struck it with her chakra expulsion technique.
A gout of wind launched the creature through the air smashing it off the wall before it finally landed and she could get a good look at it. A giant human-shaped wooden doll snapped itself back together before looking in her direction and skittering off underneath one of the laboratory stands. “Fuuuuu-ck this sensei. This is too scary!” I could only chuckle as I snuck up behind her and placed my hand on her shoulder. “Yeah, it’s scary. But imagine the faces of your enemies when you’re the one controlling it.”
