honestly and ik this is really harsh but the father is kind of stupid here. Set some guards up to protect the family and go out to fight, cause if the outside battle is lost then its you against everyone and protecting your family

I think the issue is that his family would've like 100% died if he wasn't there. Maybe he could've been outside fighting while maintaining the barrier around his family but that's way riskier

Tbh it feels like the intention is for them to experience lives similar to those of the other person. Tian is analytical, he can recognize patterns in the world, he is also caring. He also came into the world through unusual means. however he was said to have great talent, got a prearranged marriage, was found to be essentially crippled, lost it all, then was taught (kinda) by a swordsman who has extreme skill with the blade. However he does not have talent for the blade. Its basically what if Ke Yin was born as wu kangming, tho the way they were born in the world reflects their introduction to the xianxia world. Ke yin, kane was brought to that world by a spiritual technique, when he got there he was mostly observing, trying to understand, but unlike a newborn, he came there already knowing things (tho he also didn’t possess the body of a child, the life experience of kangming starts right after the magical technique was finished). I expect wu kangming will find himself all alone, without any family but will find himself raised in some sect. Something along those lines. I think kangming will remember himself earlier than ke yin, because that would fit more with the life ke yin lived in the cultivator world.
